About

Based in Toronto and collaborating globally, Andrew Janeczek is a medical illustrator, animator, and designer who works with researchers and healthcare professionals to translate complex biological concepts into clear and engaging visuals.

With a background in Biochemistry and Immunology and a Master's degree in Biomedical Communications from the University of Toronto, Andrew combines scientific understanding with visual design to create work that is both scientifically accurate and visually compelling.

Each project begins the same way—with curiosity. Andrew enjoys diving into unfamiliar research, understanding the underlying science, and collaborating closely with researchers, clinicians, and multidisciplinary teams to create visuals that communicate complex ideas with clarity and precision. His work spans publication-ready figures, scientific illustrations, animations, and educational media, always with an emphasis on scientific accuracy and thoughtful visual storytelling.

Whether developing a graphical abstract, journal illustration, or medical animation, Andrew's goal is to help audiences better understand science while preserving the complexity that makes it meaningful.

Outside of work, you'll usually find him running, tending to his plants, playing racket sports, or learning a new piece of software.
